Primary schedule of 3 doses from 2 months of age, 1–2 months apart; one booster in the second year of life and one at 5–13 years.
Giving with other vaccines
- Menactra (MenACYW-DT): can be given on the same day. In children aged 4–6 years, giving Menactra after a vaccine containing a full dose of diphtheria toxoid (Daptacel/DTaP) markedly reduces the meningococcal antibody response. Give them at the same time, or give Menactra first.
