Special precautions

Indicated from 6 weeks of age for children and adults of all ages.

Giving with other vaccines

  • Menactra (MenACYW-DT): should not be given on the same day; if given on different days, allow at least 28 days between them. In people with asplenia, splenic dysfunction or HIV infection: do NOT give Menactra (MenACWY-D) and PCV13 at the same time, because this reduces the antibody response to 3 pneumococcal serotypes (4, 6B, 18C). Give PCV13 first and Menactra 4 weeks later.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
