Before entering a yellow fever endemic area – 1 dose

0.5 ml subcutaneously, at least 10 days before arriving in an endemic area (Africa, Central and South America). According to WHO, the yellow fever vaccination certificate is valid for life; some countries may require a booster. Live vaccine: do not give to pregnant or breastfeeding women, immunocompromised people or people allergic to eggs. Given at international health quarantine centres.
