Rollout follows the roadmap in Resolution 104/NQ-CP. Children who have had a private-market pneumococcal vaccine should ask a health worker to avoid duplicate doses.

Special precautions
Free in the Expanded Programme on Immunization: first dose when the child reaches 2 months, second dose at least 2 months later. Unvaccinated children aged 12–24 months: 2 doses at least 2 months apart; unvaccinated children from 24 months: 1 dose before 5 years of age. Rollout follows the roadmap in Resolution 104/NQ-CP (Circular 52/2025/TT-BYT).
