Transmission
Spread by respiratory droplets and airborne aerosols in enclosed spaces.
Symptoms
Fever, dry cough, tiredness, loss of smell and taste, sore throat, difficulty breathing, chest tightness.
Complications
Acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), cytokine storm, thromboembolism, multi-organ failure and death.
People at high risk
Older adults, immunocompromised people, people with heart disease, diabetes or obesity.
